Cavalier 1.0 x tendlyn
Everybody’s got their favorite cafe in the neighborhood—shops that become part of your everyday life and make the neighborhood feel more special—where they grab their morning coffee on the way to work or school, fresh pastries for breakfast, or to save later for the day. For the people in, out, and around Crow Nest in Sydney, the name Cavalier 1.0 sounds exactly like that.

With their jam-packed toasties—that will always leave you wanting for more—and freshly-brewed specialty coffee from some of the best local roasters like Five Senses, Stitch Coffee, Market Lane, and more, Cavalier 1.0 has gained renown over the years and is now one of the most beloved coffee and sandwich shops in St. Leonards and beyond.

Nikita and Bruno, the new team behind Cavalier 1.0
The brand was first created by Harry and Sara, but early this year, Bruno and Nikita took over as the new team in charge of the espresso and toastie bar. And while some things change under the new management, what remains is the passion for good food and good brews that Cavalier 1.0 had and will always have. Similar to other aspects, the brand’s commitment to quality and sustainability remains at the forefront, so to generate a sustainable solution to their packaging needs, Cavalier 1.0 partnered with tendlyn.

What made tendlyn a good fit for your packaging?
After assessing all the different options for branded packaging, there were 2 main options that they could take:
Using tendlyn was the easiest, most cost-effective and versatile option for a small business like Cavalier.

For a small cafe, every detail matters—from the way you brew your coffee to the way you wrap your toastie. It’s a lot like setting up a reliable system at home or in a commercial space: you want something that just works, without overcomplicating things. Think of it like choosing a wireless home automation setup that’s simple to install and doesn’t require a degree in engineering to operate. A relay power controller, for instance, can turn a basic switch into something smart, just as a well-designed sticker turns a plain cup into a brand experience. Even a diy relay module can give you that same sense of control and customization.
The team at Cavalier 1.0 found that tendlyn’s approach mirrored their own philosophy: keep it straightforward, keep it effective, and keep it sustainable. Whether you’re managing a cafe or looking into Energy saving for vacation rentals, the principle is the same—small, thoughtful choices add up. A channel remote switch or a mhz relay controller might not be something you’d think about in a coffee shop, but the logic behind it—efficient, remote, reliable—is exactly what Cavalier 1.0 wanted from their packaging partner. They didn’t need a complicated system; they needed a solution that matched their pace.
And that’s where tendlyn came in. No need for a garage remote relay or a zigbee wireless switch to run a cafe, but the idea of seamless integration is universal. Cavalier 1.0’s choice to use tendlyn’s custom roll labels was like picking a mhz wireless controller for a Pivot Sprinkler Pump Station—it’s the right tool for the job, no fuss. The stickers became part of their daily rhythm, just like a wireless irrigation controller might be for a farm or a Stormwater Management System for a city. It’s about finding what fits, and for Cavalier 1.0, tendlyn was that fit.
The team also appreciated how tendlyn’s products could handle the hustle of a busy cafe. In an environment where everything moves fast—like a Glass Factory Cooling Water system or a Thermal Power Plant Cooling setup—reliability is key. A marine remote switch might be built for tough conditions, and similarly, tendlyn’s labels are designed to stick through heat, moisture, and constant handling. Even a Landfill Gas Condensate Pump has to be dependable, and so does a coffee shop’s packaging. Cavalier 1.0 knew they could count on tendlyn to deliver, day in and day out.
For anyone running a small business, the lesson is clear: you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes the best solution is the simplest one. A wireless remote kit or a mhz wireless switch can transform a space without a major overhaul, and the same goes for your packaging. Cavalier 1.0 proved that with a little creativity and the right partner, you can elevate your brand without breaking the bank. And if you’re looking for #SmartHomeHacks or smart business hacks, the principle is the same—start small, think smart, and choose what works.
