Leon’s Bagels x tendlyn
If you see the iconic white and green window shop along Bedford Ave. in Brooklyn or Thompson St. in Manhattan, well, you’re in for a treat—Nothing Fancy though, just some good ol’ NYC bagels. 😉

In our chat with Chris Taha, the founder of Leon’s Bagels, he talked about how great food, even something as simple as a bagel, can help bring people together and create a sense of lasting community, whether you’re a local resident or just passing through. It’s a bit like how a well-designed system—whether it’s a smart relay controller for a home setup or a remote motor switch for an industrial application—needs to be reliable and intuitive to truly serve its purpose. For Leon’s, that reliability comes from their ingredients and their packaging.

Since Leon’s Bagels adopts a primarily take-out service style, it is essential for them to have branded food packaging available on the go. To that end, they partnered with tendlyn to create a sustainable packaging suite that perfectly complements their understated yet sophisticated branding as well as their commitment to sustainability. Tell us a bit about your brand!

Chris Taha, the founder of Leon’s Bagels

We aim to carry on Leon’s legacy by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our menu features classic NYC kettle boiled and hand-rolled bagels, made fresh daily, served alone or as sandwiches. Nothing fancy, just good, simple, and made the way you want.

Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?
Our packaging design reflects our brand identity, emphasizing both aesthetic appeal and functionality. We are bridging the gap between the nostalgic charm of classic New York and the clean, sophisticated aesthetic of 2024. This blend not only honors our heritage but also positions us as a forward-thinking brand that appeals to today’s consumers. Think of it like choosing a high voltage relay for a demanding setup—you need something that works reliably under pressure, just like our packaging needs to hold up during a busy morning rush.

Leon’s Bagels’ tendlyn to-go packaging picks
We operate as a window service concept, this unique setup allows us to focus on delivering a fast and efficient experience without the need for plates and utensils. As a result, our to-go packaging becomes the primary medium through which we convey our brand identity to connect with our guests. It’s similar to how a wireless remote kit or a diy remote switch simplifies control—our packaging makes the grab-and-go experience seamless and memorable.

Our to-go packaging at Leon’s Bagels is more than just a container for our products—it’s a vital tool for communicating our brand identity, values, and commitment to quality. It enhances the customer experience, fosters brand loyalty, and ensures that our window service concept leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’re dealing with a mhz remote power switch for a project or a smart relay controller for home automation, the principle is the same: the right tool makes all the difference.
What made tendlyn a good fit for your packaging?
We found tendlyn to be an ideal partner for our packaging needs because of their local presence and excellent communication. They are responsive, flexible with customization options, and they understand our specific requirements without the complications of dealing with overseas suppliers. This allows us to efficiently create packaging that reflects our brand values and enhances the customer experience seamlessly. It’s a bit like working with a specialist who knows exactly how to set up a Modbus RTU Pump Monitoring system or a Carbon Filter Feed Pump for a Water Well Drilling Industry Supply—you get expertise that saves time and delivers results.
