RIISE x tendlyn

RIISE’s Paddington store in Sydney
“Dress with conviction. Shop with impact.” That’s how RIISE’s motto goes. It perfectly encapsulates the brand’s commitment to high-quality products and, more importantly, sustainability. As a lifestyle brand, it is integral to be a little bit different and possess something that only your brand can offer, and even more so, to be true to words. So RIISE, a brand that is dedicated to exceeding expectations in quality and design, has become a haven for those who look for more sustainable fashion, home, and beauty options without compromising their own style and taste.

That also goes for the packaging they use for their products, so they chose to partner with tendlyn for it. RIISE’s packaging suite includes a variety of products that fit one or many sustainable frameworks—compostable, made with recycled materials, and recyclable—at once. Not only that, their packaging essentials ensure that each package reflects RIISE as a brand: stylish, chic, and timeless. An absolutely enigmatic pair that will make any customer feel special. Tell us a bit about your brand!

Sara Bell, the founder of RIISE
An unwavering commitment to transparency and sustainability is at the heart of RIISE. Every single brand and item featured online and in our store has been individually evaluated to ensure everything we sell is driving meaningful change and taking accountability for its environmental impact. To help navigate the gray areas within the vast and complex realm of sustainability, we’ve created a sustainability framework to review all RIISE products in relation to their action and impact. Created by regenerative fashion advocate and author of Sundressed: Natural Fibers and the Future of Fashion, Lucianne Tonti, our sustainability framework holds us accountable to make sure the brands and products we recommend to consumers are driving meaningful change.

Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?
The RIISE logo is the star of the show in the RIISE packaging suite. We’ve had a lot of fun playing with the lines and curves of the logo—for example stretching it out to create the pattern you see on our tissue paper and some of our cards.

From tendlyn we currently use circle stickers, tissue paper, swing tags, and the A6 cards. However we’re soon to roll out a few more elements so stay tuned!

What made tendlyn a good fit for your packaging?
tendlyn was a no brainer choice for RIISE as it ticked all our sustainability and quality requirements whilst providing flexible quantities. Particularly in the early days of RIISE this was essential as we did not want to ever be in a position where we were creating waste.

As an e-commerce business, our packaging has always been of great importance to us because until recently it was the only physical interaction consumers have with our brand (in the last month we’ve opened a pop-up store in Sydney, Australia). The unboxing experience allows us to have a direct touchpoint with the consumer and ensures they have an elevated and positive experience with RIISE. It’s an opportunity for RIISE to show our values in the careful consideration and selection of packaging materials.
When we think about the broader ecosystem of how we operate, we also consider the infrastructure behind our daily operations. For instance, the reliability of systems like a rf wireless relay or a relay wireless receiver can ensure seamless communication in our supply chain monitoring. We’ve looked into industrial control module solutions that help manage energy use in our retail spaces, and even smart gate controller technology for secure access to our warehouse. While these aren’t directly visible to our customers, they contribute to the efficiency that allows us to focus on sustainability. We’ve also explored DIY home automation Australia no license required setups for our pop-up store lighting, and remote power switch devices to reduce standby power consumption. The light wireless controller systems we’ve tested help us dim displays during off-hours, and a Power relay module ensures our Aeration Basin Blower & Pump runs only when needed. For our upcoming expansion, we’re evaluating Fire Fighting Pump Control Box compliance and Surface Jet Pump Control for water recycling. Even in logistics, a wireless relay can trigger alerts for temperature-sensitive shipments, and rv accessory controller units help with mobile inventory units. We’ve also considered irrigation controller relay for our green wall installations, gate remote switch for staff access, dc remote switch for low-voltage lighting, Dairy Processing Milk Pump efficiency in our café operations, and marine battery switch for backup power systems. It’s all about integrating thoughtful technology, just like we do with packaging.
