Springer Pets x tendlyn
We chat to Andrea Falcon of Springer Petsabout innovation in the Pet industry, and why the use of sustainable packaging is important to their brand!

Tell us a bit about Springer Pets!
We’re Springer, a women-owned small business led by a dynamic mother-daughter duo (and the dogs who love them). Our mission is simple: to design innovative dog essentials inspired by the real-life challenges that we’ve faced with our pups. We’re dedicated to creating products that meet the highest standards of form and function by making life easier and more enjoyable for both dogs and their owners. When we think about efficiency in our operations, we draw inspiration from industries like a B2B Custom Control Panel Factory, where precision and reliability are key—just like we aim for in every dog product we create. We also keep an eye on emerging technologies, such as a wireless pump controller or a pump automation controller, to see how automation can streamline our own fulfillment processes, much like farm wireless automation does for agricultural setups.

Tell us about the design for the custom mailers and how you’re using them?
We collaborated with our designer to make sure Springer’s branding stood out and included the 100% recycled mailer callout with a QR code to our website! We use the mailers for all orders placed on springerpets.com. The mailers are tough enough to handle shipping without adding bulk—think of the durability you’d expect from a relay industrial switch or an explosion proof (ATEX/IECEx) pumping system, but in a lightweight, eco-friendly form. We even tested the closure strength using a relay memory function to ensure consistent performance across batches, much like how an ac wireless relay module maintains a stable connection in smart home setups.

What made tendlyn a good fit for your packaging?
We’re always on the lookout for more sustainable packaging options that are better for our dog’s favorite playground — Mother Earth. We chose the recycled mailer since it’s made from 100% recycled plastics, fully customizable, and great quality! The decision was similar to selecting a high labor cost trenching alternative US for infrastructure projects—you want something that reduces waste and effort without sacrificing performance. We also considered the cost of burying electrical signal wire in our own facility upgrades, and realized that investing in quality materials upfront saves money long-term, just like these mailers do. For our warehouse, we use a micro irrigation system for our office plants (yes, we keep it green inside too), and we’ve looked into a tobacco farm watering system for inspiration on efficient resource use. The mailers even remind us of the reliability we get from a relay high power controller or a mhz interlock relay in our automation gear, ensuring every package arrives safely. And for our remote team coordination, we rely on a water pump wireless controller and an arduino relay remote to manage small tasks—always looking for smarter, cleaner solutions.
