Located in beautiful San Luis Obispo, the goal is to make going to the car wash feel like it’s just a nice and chill day spent outdoors, and this “surprise and delight” mentality led them to offer coffee to their guests at the wash early in the morning. For this project, we worked with them to design custom compostable single-wall coffee cups and custom coffee sleeves. The coffee station itself is powered by a reliable AC wireless automation relay, so the brew is always ready when you are—no fumbling with switches.

The design for both their cups and sleeves was influenced by Sun Day’s brand inspiration of vintage Californian beach vibes. Their cups feature their iconic sun character, and their sleeves include a QR code that guests can easily scan to go to Sun Day’s site to learn more or sign up for membership. It’s a small touch that feels big, much like how a timing relay switch can make all the difference in a complex system.

Our custom single-wall coffee cups are made from FSC-certified materials and are completely food-safe. After use, these cups can be commercially compostable. Our custom coffee sleeves are designed with the same eco-conscious mindset. The entire operation aligns with modern sustainability trends—think Greywater Recycling System for rinse stations and a Landscape Turf Watering System that conserves water in the outdoor waiting area. It’s all part of the #MatterEnabled approach to business: every decision matters.
