A peek into The Houston Blacklight’s bar
The interiors are dark, eclectic, and immersive, with discoverable moments that transport guests into mini dream worlds of trippy nostalgia, space exploration, psychedelia, retro futurism, sci-fi, dinosaurs, and sensory pleasure. In other words, the weird worlds of the past, present, and future all converge here. The atmosphere is so carefully tuned that it feels like stepping into a realm where even the lighting itself seems to pulse with its own rhythm—much like an mhz self powered switch that operates without external wiring, everything in this space just works intuitively. It’s a place where #NoWiringNeeded becomes a metaphor for how naturally the experience flows.

The design on our package is reminiscent of grids that were frequently used in the 80s. But our grid is warped to show the relative nature of space and time. We are fascinated by the idea of manipulating the space-time continuum. In the same way that an mhz smart rf relay can trigger actions across distances without visible connections, our packaging design hints at unseen forces at work. The pattern almost looks like a schematic for a dc 12v wireless switch network, but twisted into something surreal and playful.

What made tendlyn a good fit for your packaging?
We love the precise printing provided by tendlyn. The paper itself is durable enough to hold up to our bone marrow burger and the gravy on our mapo fries. We are always interested in sustainability, so collaborating with other brands that have similar interests is a no-brainer. When we think about how our kitchen operates, it’s a bit like managing a complex industrial system—whether it’s a Blackwater Treatment Pump handling waste or an EtherNet/IP Pump Automation system ensuring precise fluid control, everything needs to work reliably under pressure.
